About This Event
World Wetlands Day 2026 was celebrated at the Boardwalk of Taman Negeri Setiu Wetlands, themed "Wetlands and traditional knowledge: Celebrating cultural heritage." Organised by the Terengganu State Parks Management in collaboration with WWF-Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, and several other state agencies, the event featured a wide range of activities including an exhibition, a fun walk, a colouring competition, forest gardening, community sports (sukan rakyat), a Dikir Barat performance, tree planting, wetland-themed traditional food (juadah bencah), and the official launch ceremony for World Wetlands Day 2026.
